UWS REGULATOR
Your UWS has been set so that the ARGON flow rate is
approximately 1.4 cubic inches per second over the 90 second discharge
capacity of the cartridge. Insert the hose on your UWS with the black
delrin disperser into the wine bottle so that the delrin disperser
is no closer than 1" above
the wine. Press the button on top of the UWS which is connected to the
valve that controls the Argon flow rate, hold it down for 5 seconds.
You will hear the regulator working and you will have put in about 7
cubic inches of Argon, which is enough for the 1" layer of Argon
that will protect a 750ml bottle (larger bottles with correspondingly
larger surface area of wine exposed to oxygen require a correspondingly
longer dose of Argon).

UWS ASSEMBLY AND ARGON CARTRIDGE LOADING INSTRUCTIONS
1.
Attach the FDA approved hose to the UWS by slipping the hose over
the adapter until it is flush with the "O"ring
(as shown on front of box).
2. Unscrew lower cup from the upper portion
and drop in an unpunctured Argon cartridge with small end up (as shown
on side of box).
3. Screw the lower cup slowly at first into the upper
portion until cartridge just contacts the puncture pin.
4. Then to prevent leakage QUICKLY screw the lower cup and upper
cup together, turning the unit a half turn until snug. This will
puncture and seal the cartridge in the same
motion and you are ready to go!
CARTRIDGE
REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT
1. When you believe the cartridge is empty, (noise
is no longer heard); hold the button down for an additional 10 seconds
in order to fully deplete the Argon gas from
the cartridge before opening.
2. Unscrew the lower cup, remove cartridge and replace as described
in assembly instructions.

WARNING: Only use UWS Argon Cartridges. UWS cannot
be responsible for any other manufactured cartridge. Warranty only
applies to UWS products. Order additional cartridges online or call.
TAPERED SILICONE STOPPERS CARE AND MAINTENANCE
The (3) supplied stoppers are NOT required for the operation of your
UWS, but the quality and cleanliness of how you seal the bottle and by
extension the wine play an important part in determining how long you
can extend the flavor of wine after having opened it. Using the uncleaned,
moldy and dusty cork that came with your bottle should be anethema to
anyone concerned about the flavor of their wine, let alone turning it
upside down and exposing the top of your wine to all the dirt that has
accumulated on the outside of the old cork, sometimes for years!
• These stoppers are 100% silicone
• FDA approved material
• Shore A Durometer hardiness is 40
• Temperature range is from -100 to 400 F
Run the silicone stoppers through the dishwasher or hand wash with warm
soapy water before using again. If you care enough to protect your wine
with Argon, don't ruin it all by letting contaminants get into your wine.
If you are not going to drink your wine for a week or so you can put
the restoppered Argon treated bottle of wine in the refrigerator; the
lower temperature helps slow down changes in wine. Later, when taking
the bottle out of the refrigerator be sure to let the wine come pack
up to it's proper serving temperature before drinking. The wine should
be stored upright in order to minimize the area on top of the wine that
the Argon is to protect, laying the bottle at an angle will require a
larger dose of Argon in order to maintain a 1" blanket.
